31.1.11

Today we met as a group to discuss our proposal that we intended to submit tomorrow. Through discussion and critique it became apparent that there were many aspects of our proposal that raised more questions than we were prepared to answer. As a team we identified each of the areas that would need to be better understood. I wrote down each of the intended areas of investigation and concerns that were raised. A range of points were brought up; why our chosen site was a good choice, why the existing site was inadequate, the logistics of construction, better understanding this project as urban design, organizing stakeholder involvement. As each of these points were raised, members of our team identified areas of specific interest or where they could lend their expertise.

I have been in the office for just under two months, and little by little I am getting to know new people, their interests and the work that they do. So,while I do not have a lot of experience outside of school, I do have a project to share with you that highlights my area of interest in design. If you have a piece of work that you would like share, that you feel embodies your ideals, please feel free to post! It may be a fun way to get to know one another in a different way.
